I just had to post this song for two reasons. 1-I haven’t had a blog post in a while. 2-This song has indirectly inspired me within the past couple of weeks.
Is there anyone who hasn’t walked into an IHOP, sat down, and said to themselves, “Do I want breakfast or do I want dinner?” This is the IHOP Dilemma. Now use it in every day life.
It is 1AM. I am doing homework. I am tired. I realized I haven’t written a new blog post in 3 weeks.
I really fell in love with the girls of 5H when I first heard their cover of Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen.” They are definitely something special and I’m looking forward to hearing their upcoming album :)
When I was younger, my favorite day of the week was Thursday! The main reason was because The O.C. aired new episodes on Thursdays. Also, at my old high school we had very weird schedules and I had lunch at different times on Tuesday and Thursday than I did on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and I got to see my favorite person.
My favorite day of the week now…would still have to be Thursday. Thursday because when I get up in the morning I don’t have to be anywhere specific. Then when I’m home at 7PM I get to do nothing. I have to wake up early Friday but that doesn’t bother me because I finally get to relax for the first time during the whole week.
Crazy that is the prompt that I stumbled upon for this post. What needs cleaning in this house are the dishes! They are crazy mad all over the place just sitting and staring at us waiting for someone to wash them. The last time I did any dishes was Sunday night, so that’s saying something. But at the same time, I guarantee that less than 1/4 of those dishes are mine because I don’t eat a lot of food when I’m at home (mainly because i don’t have any and grocery shopping is a chore).
On the plus side, I normally wash dishes on Thursday after my day is over because I have nothing else to do. So tonight, the kitchen should be clean and my sheets should be washed. It will be a good day.
This is quite an interesting one. There’s only one thing that’s really been inside my head besides the fact that I keep procrastinating everything that I do. Take a chance.
The little voice has been telling me to take a chance. There’s a lot that I can leave to chance and probably should, but my whole life I never really thought about it because I don’t like risks. I know that I’d rather be certain about something than take a chance.
It’s one of the reasons why I am always holding back.
I expected to choose some famous person that I adored but I only came up with one answer. In this moment, I would want to spend a whole night alone with my uncle who passed away a couple years ago. His life was taken too early. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him. I would really love a chance to get in his mind and understand who he was as a person when I was younger.

I love listening to Singer/Songwriter music. Chase Coy’s Picturesque was an album I had on repeat for much of Summer 2012. The song Picturesque was my favorite track on the album. Don’t judge me for listening to this type of music while going for a run!
Demi Lovato. Besides the fact that I have been in love with her since I can remember, she is an incredible role model to all young adults out there who are struggling with issues such as bullying or eating disorders. She also has the voice of an angel and seems like a down-to-earth person. Spending a whole night with her and learning more about her life would be a once in a lifetime experience.

You know that feeling you get whenever you see or hear something that reminds you of the past? That is happening as I type. I’m sitting here listening to The Space Between by Dave Matthews Band. I suddenly realized that I was just 10 years old when this song came out. Now I’m 21. Oh, how times have changed but people change with time.
It reminded me that life is too short to not be living and nostalgia only helps to reinforce that thought. So I’m planning on doing exactly that.
The only thing I desire is to be surrounded by those who I love most. I thought about asking for happiness but I feel as though it wouldn’t give me the satisfaction I want. I’ve always been surrounded by the people I love my whole life and it’s something I would never change. The people I have met and connected with shaped who I am as an individual today.

I have been listening to Lana del Rey on my iPhone for the last couple of months. There are three songs that stand out to me: American, Born to Die, and Radio. Lana’s voice is different from what’s currently being heard on the radio today (much of which is hip-hop, sadly). Nothing against it, I love it but it does get tiring after you’ve heard the same song 7 times a day.
If you enjoy “alternative” music (what is alternative?) you will definitely love Lana’s sound. It’s got a monotonous tone to it which some people may not enjoy. If you’re looking to listen to Paradise, be advised that this album does have a “Paradise” feel to it. Much of the music is more mellow than her first album, Born to Die. I highly recommend sampling both albums!
I have started this new blog to discuss things I am doing in my life. Basically, it is a blog dedicated to myself and my thoughts. Hopefully I can post one each day for the next year and talk about various topics that interest me to see how I grow as a person. Will it work? That’s up for discussion…
Today I wanted to take a second to discuss this problem analysis that I am working on for my Policy and Governance in Sustainability class. Basically, I am touching on issues that arise with the land use and management of the Colorado River between the different states that utilize its water. Luckily, it is a topic that is of interest to me because of water rights. Arizona does not have priority over water in the Colorado River which seems absurd because Arizonans literally live in a desert. I also believe that Colorado does not have the rights to the water (not positive). This is interesting because the river runs through Colorado, am I right?
I still have much research to do for this topic and this analysis is due tomorrow at noon. I believe I am off to a good start; there is a rubric for it which helps a ton.
